The Eterna v1 is the original version of the Eterna from the Fundamentals Series in Fischer Audio's lineup. There is now a version 2 Eterna and the original is quite hard to get a hold of.
Build Quality / Appearance / Cable:
The Eterna has a black/silver plastic body that seems strong.
Comfort / Isolation:
The Eterna design is very comfortable. Isolation is not the best, but still very good and enough to block out most ambient sounds.
Sound:
The Eterna has a powerful and smooth sound that never gets boring or fatiguing. It is a "bassy" earphone that retains a moderate amount of detail and has an above average soundstage.
Lows: The heart of the overall sound signature is the bass, which is very deep and authoritative. It has good low end extension and an elevated
Mid-bass. As expected with most earphones with this much bass, there is less clarity and is neither the quickest nor most resolving. Instead, the Eterna's bass has sheer bass weight and can really rumble. It is big, forward and highly enjoyable.
Mids: The midrange is full, coloured, and has some warmth from the mid-bass hump. Transparency isn't the best. The Eterna's midrange is lush and extremely liquid, which I actually think goes very well with the overall bass heavy sound signature.
Treble: The treble is present but doesn't call for attention like the bass does. Surprisingly, the highs are pretty clean and the clarity is good for such a bassy and thicker-sounding earphone.
Soundstage:
Soundstage-wise, it is pretty wide and places you in the middle rows. It doesn't give you the out of head feel, but it also doesn't feel closed in. The Eterna sounds spacious in its presentation with good separation and layering.
Summary:
The Eterna is not meant for use as a monitor; the fun factor  in the sound signature is undeniable. The bass is big and powerful, and very engaging. Vocals are sweet while the treble compliments the midrange well. In addition, they are also well built and very comfortable. Definitely worth its price if this is the sound signature you're looking for; if not, then I still think these would be highly enjoyable and worth a listen if you can get your hands on them.
